Javel “Jay” Wilson Joins Croatan
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (September 17, 2026) – Croatan Investments (“Croatan”), a rental housing investment manager serving private wealth and institutional capital, is pleased to announce the addition of Javel “Jay” Wilson as Senior Vice President of Asset Management. Mr. Wilson will help lead Croatan’s asset management efforts, strengthening the firm’s senior asset management infrastructure and supporting business plan execution across its existing portfolio and future investments.

Prior Experience
Mr. Wilson brings more than two decades of real estate, asset management, finance and accounting experience to Croatan. Most recently, he served as Principal Consultant at Unicorn Strategies Consulting, advising property management teams on financial performance, budgeting, operational processes and property improvement initiatives. Previously, as Regional Vice President of Asset Management at April Housing, he led a team of asset managers in implementing performance improvement initiatives across a 12,000-unit multifamily portfolio, including efforts that increased portfolio occupancy by 6%. He also led the annual budgeting process for more than 80,000 units across 200 apartment communities nationwide.
Mr. Wilson previously held senior asset management roles at Lincoln Avenue Capital, Standard Companies, Enterprise Community Development and CAPREIT. At Croatan, he will work closely with the firm’s investment and operating partners to evaluate asset performance, identify opportunities and address challenges across the portfolio. His addition strengthens Croatan’s asset management leadership and supports the firm’s continued focus on multifamily operations, portfolio performance and property-level business plan execution.
